No, this isn't the red light district. With all of the comedy & humor material at this website, this is a small but necessary section. Everything here in the Seriously section is REAL information. It is NOT parody. This is the place to go for ACTUAL information about this website.

The purpose of this website is to be as funny as possible, & to provide comedy & humor to as wide an audience as possible. Much of the material here is probably the equivalent of a G rating. But much of it is also close to a PG rating. Or at worst, a PG-13 rating on occasion. So probably no R-rated material. No especially foul words. Seriously. Good comedy can stand on its own, without resorting to the use of really foul language. This is not a judgment of anyone, or any site, that does have R-rated material. It's just that the purpose for THIS site is to appeal to as many people as possible. That said, the material here won't be rewritten just to make it G-rated, either. That would defeat the purpose of this website, which is to be as funny & entertaining as possible.

Comedy Criteria

The primary criterion for comedy material here is only this: Is it FUNNY? Does it make people LAUGH? That's IT. The goal of this website is to be as funny as possible, without being offensive or distasteful. But at the same time, without watering it down. Which, at times, can be very difficult. Good comedy & humor always carries the risk that someone will be offended. No one can please all of the people, all of the time. However, good comedy is not afraid to push boundaries, & in fact, must do so. There is often an element of truth in humor, also. And there really is nothing too sacred to laugh at. Just look around you. Doesn't God have a sense of humor? The funniest comedy can be extreme & absurd. In fact, just plain goofy. Which is precisely what makes it funny. But it doesn't have to be offensive, really. It just has to run the risk of being so. The comedy & humor material here is purposely created so as NOT to offend any race, color, creed, sex or sexual orientation, occupation, or any particular class of people. That said, EVERY individual, EVERY group or class of people is funny at times. No one in particular has been targeted because EVERYONE has been targeted. In other words, humanity as a whole, & the crazy world in which we live. Here, the funny quirks of human nature & behavior are illuminated by the light of humor. This website is dedicated to the most powerful medicine in the world. That's right. Laughter is the best medicine. Seriously. If you're feeling down, or even sick, comedy & humor can heal you. Many of you KNOW this is true. Simply by picking up your spirits & laughing, you create a condition conducive to healing, no matter what ails you. Numerous, medical studies have shown this fact to be true. Humor also destroys fear, which is a very good thing. At the very least, comedy & humor can eliminate stress, which alone is helpful. And comedy is just plain fun. It always feels great to laugh!

This website wants healthy visitors! Comedy & humor are great for your MIND. Which in turn, is great for your body. But don't forget the 2nd half of the mind-body equation. Your BODY. You simply must eat right. That means fruit & vegetables, dammit! More fresh, raw food. Less canned & processed food. If you want to add a powerful supplement to your diet, add spirulina. It's a highly nutritious, complete food. It contains ALL of the essential amino acids your body needs. In fact, it's a superfood. And it's available at your local health food store. Also, if you're not already doing so, you simply must get at least a small amount of exercise. Internet surfing & computer games do not qualify. You need to move your body & get real exercise. Aerobics, any sports you enjoy, weight training. If nothing else, go for a walk. Walking is very good for you, & it's easy. That's right. Get up off your rear end & exercise! It's never too late to start. Until someday when it may be. So the sooner you start, the better. If you care about your health.
